Типы питания рек. Реки на поверхности суши будто кровеносные сосуды Земли. Благодаря постоянному движению, они замыкают круговорот воды в природе. Водность рек, их длина и размещение на материках зависят от типов климата и форм рельефа.
Реки, как и живые существа, для своего существования должны постоянно подпитываться. Их "добычей" является вода. Поэтому, процесс пополнения реки водой называют ее питанием.
Кто из вас не ставил перед собой вопрос: почему вода в реке никогда не заканчивается? Ведь осадки - дождь и снег - бывают не каждый день. За счет каких чар река постоянно восстанавливает свои воды? В роли этого волшебника выступает сама природа, которая дает реками такие основыне источника питания: дождевая вода, талый снег, подземные воды, горные ледники. Поэтому существует четыре типа питания рек: дождевое, снеговое, ледниковое и подземное (грунтовое).
Многие рек мира питаются преимущественно дождевой водой. Такими, в частности наиболее полноводные реки: Амазонка и Конго. Уровень воды в этих реках в течение года почти не меняется.
Задача. Покажите бассейны этих рек на физической карте. Выясните, в каких климатических поясах воды расположены?
В климатических условиях, где преобладают холодные и продолжительные зимы, основным типом питания рек является снеговое. Талыми водами горных ледников питаются реки, имеющие истоки высоко в горах. Наивысший уровень воды в этих реках летом (объясните, почему?). Примером, такой реки является Амударья, текущей в Средней Азии.
Реки, протекающие территориями пустынь и полупустынь, поддерживают свое существование благодаря подземным водам, которые их постоянно подкармливают.
